Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips or heart-shaped candies
  • Sprinkles or icing for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Gradually mix in the flour mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips or heart-shaped candies.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. Decorate with sprinkles or icing as desired.
