Description

A refreshing blueberry lemonade drink that’s perfect for hot days and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup sugar (or honey/agave)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold Sprite
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Garnish: lemon slices, fresh blueberries, mint

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, sugar, water, and lemon zest in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat for 7–10 minutes until berries burst.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve, discarding solids.
  4. Cool the syrup completely.
  5. Juice the lemons and add the juice to a pitcher.
  6. Stir in the cooled blueberry syrup.
  7. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes.
  8. Just before serving, pour in Sprite and gently stir.
  9. Add ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices, mint, or frozen blueberries.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve at summer barbecues or picnics. Best consumed within 2 days.
