- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, combine the egg, vanilla, milk, melted butter, and sourdough discard. Stir until combined.
- Fold in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar, add the rest of the batter, and top with remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool before slicing.
