Description

Soft, sweet bars bursting with cinnamon flavor, perfect for morning or snack time.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before drizzling with powdered sugar glaze made by mixing powdered sugar with a little water or milk to achieve desired consistency.
  9. Slice into bars and serve.
