Description

Delicious brownie cups with rich chocolate and bright orange flavors, topped with a smooth chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, orange zest, and orange juice, and combine until just mixed.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin tin cups.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just boiling.
  8. Pour the hot cream over the remaining chocolate chips in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth.
  9. Cool the brownie cups, then top each with the chocolate orange ganache.
  10. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and extra orange zest. These brownie cups can be stored in the fridge or freezer for later enjoyment.
